Religious School

Congregation B'nai Harim's Religious School provides a Jewish education to students, Primary to Secondary level, enabling them to establish a meaningful Jewish identity. The program encourages students to gain an awareness of themselves and an understanding of their Jewish heritage. Instruction will center on Jewish values, ethics, ritual, and tradition and an appreciation of Torah as well as a kinship with the people of Israel.

Little Scholars  (Primary)

The "Little Scholars" group is for children ages 5 – 8 years of age. The class will meet once a month on a Saturday when services and Religious School are held. The class will last for 1.5 hours, beginning at 10am. We will meet in the small classroom in the vestibule. The cost for this program is $50 per child for our temple members. For those non-affiliated Jewish families whose children will participate in our program, the fee is $100 for the first and $75 for the second child.

Once our Little Scholars reach the age of Religious School (8.5 – 9 years old), non-member families must join the temple as full-time members.

The Barbara Kapitansky Religious School  (Secondary)

We are happy to accept the registration of any school aged children of members in good standing. Classes will meet twice a month on the Saturdays that services are held. The classes will meet at 9 am before services that begin at 10:15 am. We would expect our students to stay for as much of the service as possible. Hearing the prayers and songs makes learning easier and more pleasurable. Religious School tuition is $180 per child for the school year.
