Congregation B’nai Harim will be celebrating Mother’s Day in a very special way again this year.  We are asking our members to honor their own wives, mothers, grandmothers, aunts, sisters, friends, etc. by making a contribution of $5.00 for each honoree.

The proceeds will be used to make baskets filled with personal care items, which will be
donated to two not-for-profit organizations, Family Promise of Monroe County and Safe Monroe (formerly Women's Resources of the Poconos), in celebration of Mother's Day.

Family Promise provides emergency shelter, meals, and support services to at-risk and
homeless children and their families through a collaborative network of community volunteers.  Safe Monroe provides a safe and caring environment for anyone who has been a victim, or family members of victims, of domestic and/or sexual abuse.

We will write a lovely note to your admired women explaining your heartfelt gift made in their honor. The note will indicate that the baskets will be given to women of lesser means in the community that are currently being housed in shelters.
